Playing everything from High Energy Festivals to Performing Arts Theaters, from Scotland to Nova Scotia, Ireland to California, Highland Way are uncompromising professionals. With their huge repertoire they know how to tailor their performance to the audience. A native Scot, Brian Caldwell is well known for his wonderful ability to charm any crowd while his energetic and driving rhythm guitar blends flawlessly with the rest of the band. Joining Brian are Ned Giblin from Galway Ireland, (vocals, whistles, mandolin), Paul Graham Castellanos (on fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo), and featuring Sharon Whyte, on accordion and keyboards, Freddy Faith on percussion and drums. Highlighting Celtic music from Scotland and Ireland, with originals and the occasional popular cover, Highland Way create the ultimate show.

Brian Caldwell - Lead vocals / rhythm guitar / bodhran / manager
Having appeared on national and local television, and playing various large national and international concert halls, Brian is an enthusiastic and energetic singer and rhythm guitar player, "It's all about the audience having a good time!". Brian grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and having specialized in sound engineering at the prestigious Strathclyde University, headed on the road. Now residing in North San Diego County in California, he regularly plays solo, as a duo with the Clachan Boys, and as a four / five piece with Highland Way. Brian has successfully lead Highland Way to some of the most prestigious venues in the world, including the largest indoor theater in the USA, the 3000 seat Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, the Redlands Bowl 5000 seat amphitheater and many others. When not performing he runs his own studio producing under the ‘Highland Way Productions’ label.
Brian has successfully lead Highland Way to some the most prestigious venues in the world, including the largest indoor theater in the USA, (the 3000 seat Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield), and the Redlands Bowl 5000 seat amphitheater.
Ned Giblin - vocals/ mandolin/ guitar/ whistles/ banjo/ bodhran
Hailing from Galway in the West of Ireland, Ned Giblin comes from a very traditional Irish musical family. Along with his outstanding vocals, Ned is the master of several traditional Irish instruments including the mandolin, whistle, guitar, banjo and bodhran. Having played venues like the Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Compound, Ned has been joined on stage by some of Celtic’s best musicians, including The Chieftains, Liam Clancy, Tommy Makem, De Dannan, Floggin Molly, to name but a few. He owns and operates several Irish Pubs in San Diego county, notably Tom Giblin’s in Oceanside and R O’ Sullivan’s in Escondido.
Paul Castellanos - Fiddle / madolin / guitar / banjo / strings....
Lead Fiddle / mandolin / banjo/ bass and anything with strings for that matter. Paul's been playing fiddle and mandolin for over 30 years. Somewhere in that time he also picked up guitar, bass guitar, banjo and keyboards. Paul's an accomplished song writer and arranger having played with 'The Chieftains', 'The Young Dubliners', 'Blended Spirits', 'Ken O' Mally', and regularly performed in LA's oldest Irish Pub Molly Malone's with 'Garrison White', and 'Glen Cornick', original bass player for 'Jethro Tull'. He's also joined 'The Wolftones', 'Willy Clancy', Tommy Makem', and 'Billy Connelly'.
Sharon Whyte - Accordion / keyboard / vocals

Sharon Whyte (accordion, keyboards, vocals) has long established herself as the go-to player for sessions and live performances, backing artists such as Kenny Loggins, Eric Johnson, America, Kim Carnes, Juice Newton, BJ Thomas, Chris Hillman, Billy Ray Cyrus, Suzy Boggus, Dan Seals, Jamie O’Neil, Albert Lee, Ty Herndon, Collin Raye, Jordan Pruitt and many others, as well as touring with original groups and playing corporate events throughout the US, UK and Canada. With a background starting in classical music, her playing styles encompass all music genres – from Celtic to Zydeco to Rock. A highly sought after studio musician, her studio credits include numerous CDs, commercials, and compositions for music libraries, and movies, including Tom Selleck's latest western Monte Walsh. She was most recently featured on the “Gypsy Swing Allstars” CD, featuring John Jorgenson. She also charted, transcribed and performed in “Primal Twang – The History of the Guitar,” featuring multiple world-class guitar greats, which is available on DVD and won the 2010 Rome International Film Festival for best documentary.

Freddy Faith - Percussion / drums
Freddy Faith mastered percussion as a small lad –. By the age of 14, he was playing drums at weddings in Chicago and has never looked back. Freddy has played percussion in numerous rock and jazz bands, and toured in the road company for the rock musical “Hair.”
